Caitlin Kraemer was one of the most highly anticipated players entering the NCAA this season. Kraemer entered the NCAA after breaking Marie-Philip Poulin's Canadian U-18 goal scoring record, and is Canada's all-time leading scorer at the U-18 national team level.

With her accolades, expectations were sky high, and in her first week in the NCAA, Kraemer did not disappoint.

Playing for the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs, Kraemer was named the season's first WCHA Rookie of the Week.

In her second career NCAA game, Kraemer notched her first NCAA point, an assist.

It wasn't that assist that showed fans why Kraemer was such a touted prospect however, it was what she did in the third period of Minnesota-Duluth's second game against the reigning NCAA champions, Ohio State.

Down 3-2 in the third period, Kraemer carried the puck into the zone and after her pass was broken up, she found the puck again and quickly beat Hailey MacLeod short side.

Ten minutes later, Kraemer struck again, scoring the game winner for Minnesota-Duluth, lifting her team to the 4-3 victory.

It's just the beginning, but Caitlin Kraemer is already making her mark on the NCAA.
