Northeastern University and Boston University will play in the Beanpot final January 23 at Boston's TD Garden.

In the semi-finals, Northeastern netminder Gwyneth Philips only had to make nine saves to record her 21st career shutout in the 1-0 win over Harvard. Taze Thompson opened the scoring tipping home a power play marker in the first. It was all Northeastern would need. On the other side of the puck Alex Pellicci made 39 saves to keep Harvard close.

Boston University played a closely fought game against Boston College to earn a spot in the final of the 45th Annual Beanpot.

Sydney Healey opened the scoring for the Boston University Terriers, but each time they scored, Boston College would answer. Exactly one minute later, Sammy Taber evened the score. Midway through the period it happened again as Luisa Welcke gave the Terriers the lead, followed by Caroline Goffredo knotting it up for Boston College 1:35 later.

After a scoreless second period, Boston University's Lacey Martin put her team ahead yet again. This time it looked like the lead would last until Boston College pulled their goalie and Katie Pyne scored with the extra attacker.

After overtime and two rounds of shootouts solved nothing, Lilli Welcke scored for Boston University, and netminder Callie Shanahan thwarted BC's final attempt to send the Terriers to a Beanpot final against Northeastern.
