Wisconsin and Ohio State will face off at Green Bay's historic Lambeau Field for an outdoor NCAA women's hockey game on February 20, 2027.
The University of Wisconsin, the NCAA's reigning women's hockey national champions will host Ohio State as part of the Frozen Tundra Faceoff, an outdoor game at Green Bay's historic Lambeau Field.
The 81,441 stadium is home to the NFL's Green Bay Packers. The day will be a double-header also featuring Wisconsin's men's hockey team facing the University of Michigan.
"This is an incredible opportunity for our student-athletes and the Wisconsin hockey programs," said University of Wisconsin Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst. "The chance to showcase our brand of hockey at one of the most revered venues in sports, Lambeau Field, is a unique privilege and it will create an unforgettable experience for the University, alumni, and all Badger fans."
Wisconsin sent five players to the first round of the 2026 PWHL Draft and enter alongside Ohio State as favorites to again challenge for a national title. Wisconsin has won back-to-back NCAA national championships defeating Ohio State both times, with Ohio State winning the year prior again against Wisconsin. The year before that, it was again Wisconsin beating Ohio State for the title.

Lambeay has hosted outdoor games in the past including the inaugural Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic in 2006.
