It took Anneke Linser a few games to get accustomed to the SDHL, now she's lighting the lamp for Djurgardens.

Anneke Linser, 23, was one of the top prospects coming out of NCAA hockey last season. She signed in the offseason with the PHF's Metropolitan Riveters, but after the acquisition of the league, Linser took the opportunity to jump to Sweden signing with Djurgardens.

After a bit of a slow start, acclimatizing to the European game, Linser is now read hot recording four goals and five points this week for Djurgardens, leading her team to a pair of wins.

The 5-foot-10 power forward, who spent five seasons in the NCAA with Minnesota-Duluth and won a U-18 World Championship gold with USA, scored her first, second, and third goals of the season.

After Djurgardens fell behind 1-0 to HV71, Linser got her team on the board early in the second period to knot the score at 1-1. She'd follow it up scoring twice more in the game to register her first career professional hockey hat trick, lifting Djurgardens to a 4-1 win.

Facing Frolunda, Linser stole a puck behind the net before finding Hana Haasova out front who buried what would become the game winner. Later in the contest, Linser pounced on a rebound beating Frolunda netminder Stephanie Neatby for an extra insurance marker for Djurgardens who took a 4-0 win.

Linser now has four goals and seven points in nine SDHL games this season.
