Austria, who will appear in the top division of the IIHF women’s World Championships for the first time, have announced their 25-player roster for the tournament.

Austria's roster is set for the nation's first ever trip to the top division at the IIHF women's World Championships. General manager Gina Kingsbury and head coach Alexander Bröms announced their roster ahead of the tournament set to begin November 6 in Denmark.

The duo named 25 players who will represent Austria at the World Championships.

"We have spoken a great deal with the staff in order to make the best possible decisions for the squad. It will be so much fun to compete with Austria against some of the best countries in the world – and that is exactly what we wanted," said Bröms in a translated statement. "Nobody is unbeatable. We are not going to Denmark to lose and be relegated again. We are going there because we believe we can win games."

The goal is clear for Austria who si looking to stay in the top division. They open their tournament against Czechia November 6 before facing Germany (November 6), USA (November 9), and close out their round robin play November 10 against Switzerland.
