Canada attacked in waves Sunday afternoon in Utica taking a 5-0 win over Czechia to remain perfect heading into Monday's duel against the USA. From puck drop until the final buzzer, Canada controlled the play.

Only 2:07 into the opening period, Danielle Serdachny got Canada on the board. Kristin O'Neill picked up her first of three points in the period assisting on Serdachny's goal before scoring a pair of her own to give Canada a 3-0 lead heading into intermission. Canada outshot Czechia 18-2 in the frame completely holding play.

The second period saw more of the same for Canada and Czechia as Canada added to their lead on a Renata Fast goal. Jamie Lee Rattray cycled the puck up to the point to Fast who sent a seeing eye shot through Sarah Nurse's net front screen to score.

Canada continued to pepper Czechia netminder Klara Peslarova. Laura Stacey added to Canada's lead driving from the corner before out waiting Peslarova and lodging the puck into the twine at the back of the net.

Ann-Renee Desbiens made 13 saves in the shutout win while Peslarova stopped 37.

With the win, Canada and USA both enter Monday night's round robin game undefeated with top spot in Group A on the line.
