Hockey Canada named their U-18 women's select roster for the Summer Series against Finland and the USA.
Canada finalized their U-18 Select roster following their Summer Showcase camp. Among the players named were eight returning players from last year's U-18 World Championship gold medal winning team.
Those players are Mackenzie Alexander, Hannah Clark, Gracie Graham, Morgan Jackson, Caitlin Kraemer, Avery Pickering, Abby Stonehouse and Emma Venusio.
Among the newcomers were six 2007 born players including Chloe Primerano on the blueline and Marilou Grenier in net, and forwards Stryker Zablocki, Sara Manness, Riley Sorokan, and Maxine Cimoroni.
Geographically the roster is diverse with 11 players from Ontario, three from British Columbia and Quebec, two from Nova Scotia and Manitoba, and one from Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Joining Clark and Grenier in net was Rhyah Stewart, while the blueline was filled out with Rosalie Breton, Jessica Cheung, and Makayla Watson, and the remainder of the forward group includes Jessie Pellerin, Jessica MacKinnon, Maxim Tremblay, Reese Logan, and Claire Murdoch.
Canada's U-18 team will play a final exhibition game to close out the Summer Showcase against Finland Monday at 12pm EST, before traveling to Lake Placid, New York to play a three-game series against USA's U-18 roster.
