Canadian forward Sarah Fillier is not expected to miss any time at the IIHF World Championships after leaving Canada's final pre-tournament game with an apparent upper body injury.

Canadian women's hockey fans can breathe a sigh of relief as forward Sarah Fillier is being listed as day-to-day by Hockey Canada and is expected to be in the lineup for the World Championships.

Fillier was taken into the end boards awkwardly by USA's Megan Keller early in Canada's 4-0 loss to USA in pre-tournament action. She left the ice favoring her right shoulder and did not return to the game.

Fillier had been part of Canada's top line alongside Rosalie Tremblay and Jessie Eldridge in their opening win over the United States, including scoring the game winning goal for Canada.

The former PWHL Rookie of the Year and co-leading scorer is a member of the New York Sirens.
