According to sources, former PWHL Ottawa forward Fanni Gasparics is set to return to the ice after offseason surgery after she signed to play in Sweden.

According to sources, former PWHL Ottawa forward Fanni Gasparics has signed with Brynas in the SDHL.

Gasparics has been out since March 5 when she suffered a season ending lower body injury that required offseason surgery.

The 29-year-old had one goal in 15 games for PWHL Ottawa last season before her injury. She also played 13 games with Brynas in the SDHL before moving to the PWHL last year. With Brynas she recorded 11 points in those 13 games.

Prior to joining the PWHL, Gasparics spent one season in the PHF with the Metropolitan Riveters.

She's a longtime member of Team Hungary helping her nation earn promotion to the top tier of the IIHF World Championships and stay in that division for several seasons.
