EA Sports has ranked their top 10 forward and top 10 skaters for the release of NHL 24.

EA Sports NHL 24 released their top rated skaters for the forthcoming release of the game, a listed dominated by North American national team members.

Marie-Philip Poulin and Hilary Knight received matching 93 ratings for the game, tops among all skaters, followed by a quartet of players receiving a 92 rating including Kendall Coyne Schofield, Sarah Fillier, Brianne Jenner, and Jenni Hiirikoski.

This veteran group was followed by a pair of young stars in Taylor Heise, the first overall pick in the recent PWHL Draft, and Caroline Harvey who led the World Championships in scoring and was named USA Hockey's Player of the Year last season, each receiving a 91.

The other players receiving a 90 rating were defenders Erin Ambrose, Renata Fast, and Lee Stecklein, and forwards Sarah Nurse and Petra Nieminen.

Rounding out the top ten were Natalie Spooner and Amanda Kessel (89), as well as Jocelyne Larocque and Nellie Laitinen (87) and Micah Zandee-Hart (86).

Notable players who could have cracked the list include Switzerland's Alina Muller and Lara Stalder, Swedish players Hanna Olsson and Maja Nylen Persson, American's Abbey Roque and Alex Carpenter, USA defender Savannah Harmon, and Finnish players Viivvi Vainikka, Elisa Holopainen, and Ronja Salvolainen.

Bronze medal winning Czechia also did not have a single player named in the top 30 at any position. Netminder Klara Peslarova was a glaring omission from the netminding ratings, while other Czech players who could have received consideration include Denisa Krizova, Daniela Pejsova, Michaela Pejzlova, and Dominika Laskova.
