It's official, Shiann Darkangelo has signed a two-year contract with the PWHL's Montreal Victoire.
The 5-foot-11 forward started her PWHL career with the Boston Fleet before being acquired during year one by the Ottawa Charge.
Last season with Ottawa Darkangelo, 31, had a standout campaign scoring 17 points in 29 games.
"A proven leader on and off the ice, Shiann brings the championship experience every team needs," said Victoire general manager Danièle Sauvageau. "A reliable two-way center, she excels in all three zones and contributes in every special team situation, making her a versatile player."
The Michigan product captained the PHF's Toronto Six to an Isobel Cup title in 2023 prior to joining the PWHL.
“I am thrilled to be joining Montréal and grateful for the opportunity to represent such a passionate city and fan base. I’m looking forward to being part of a great group of teammates, and can wait for the season to start,” said Darkangelo.
Darkangelo joins Kati Tabin who re-signed with the Montreal Victoire on the opening day of free agency. Montreal is also rumoured to have agreed to a two-year deal with defender Jessica DiGirolamo.
