In THN-W's reader poll, PWHL fans chose Taylor Heise as the landslide favorite to be named the PWHL's top rookie this year.
She was the first overall pick in the inaugural PWHL draft, and she was the landslide choice for THN-W readers in a PWHL fan poll asking who will be the PWHL's rookie of the year this season.
Heise was among league leaders early in her first professional season, as was Minnesota teammate Grace Zumwinkle who was second in voting. Heise garnered 58.84% of the votes followed by Zumwinkle with 18.14%.
Toronto's Emma Maltais was the top non-Minnesota vote getter with 6.44% of the vote.
