    The PWHL's Takeover Tour will head to Edmonton this weekend with a full slate of events preceding the main event, a game between the Ottawa Charge and Toronto Sceptres.

    The PWHL's Takeover Tour will head to Edmonton this weekend with a full slate of events preceding the main event, a game between the Ottawa Charge and Toronto Sceptres.

    The PWHL will continue its PWHL Takeover Tour with the fifth of nine games on at Rogers Place in Edmonton this Sunday between the Ottawa Charge and Toronto Sceptres.

    The weekend will also include a full slate of events involving PWHL leadership and players. On Valentine's Day, a Women in Sport Breakfast will take place JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District. According to the PWHL the event will be "dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in hockey and kickstart a fun-filled weekend. Guests will be treated to conversations about all things women’s hockey, led by an incredible panel of women involved in all facets of the game."

    From 8:30-11am the panel discussion will feature Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations; Jess Healey, retired PWHL athlete; Jess Bromley, Director of Community Engagement & Investment, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation; Lindsay McAlpine, U SPORTS alumna and Associate Director Athletics, MacEwan University; and Vanessa Hettinger, Chief Operating Officer, Hockeyology.

    On Saturday at Rogers Place, the Edmonton Female Hockey Association & Edmonton Oil Kings Jamboree will take place from 10am to 12:30pm with Ottawa Charge players on hand from 11:30am to noon. The Charge will then practice from 1:30 to 3pm.

    All this precedes the main event, Ottawa facing the Toronto Sceptres at 2pm on February 16 in Edmonton.
