Jade Downie-Landry is an effective two-way player, and doubles as a scorer and playmaker. Here's a look at Downie-Landry's on ice attributes.

Jade Downie-Landry didn't get the love she deserved last season as a rookie in the PHF. Downie-Landry led the Montreal Force in scoring, but her overall game was impactful and earned her an All-Star game appearance.

Watching video of Jade Downie-Landry, you can see her smooth skating stride and ability to break free from traffic, primarily by changing lanes across the ice. She thrives moving laterally across the ice both in attacking the goal herself, and in opening up passing lanes.

Downie-Landry uses her reach effectively to protect pucks, and win 50-50 battles, and on the defensive side to strip opponents of the puck before rapidly transitioning to offense.

In the opening portion of her highlight reel, you can see Downie-Landry's willingness to stick with plays and battle against opponents to generate offense, as well as her ability to accelerate on the crossover to get netminders moving.

In the final clips, Downie-Landry plays set up woman, primarily for linemate Ann-Sophie Bettez as the two can commonly be found weaving down ice and into the offensive zone. Their chemistry and constant movement in the offensive zone troubled defenders this season. Next year alongside stronger competition in the new professional women's hockey league, Downie-Landry could see her game take another leap forward.
