
The Vancouver Goldeneyes placed forward Gabby Rosenthal on long term injured reserve (LTIR), signed Darcie Lappan, and activated a pair of players to 10-day contracts.
The Vancouver Goldeneyes made four roster moves Friday ahead of their final stretch of games.
Gabby Rosenthal was placed on LTIR to close out the season, after suffering an upper-body injury.
To fill her active rsoter spot, the team signed Darcie Lappan to a standard player agreement. Lappan started the season as a reserve player, but was activated immediately playing 12 games and registering one assist before being returned to reserve status when Sarah Nurse returned to the lineup.
The team also activated Finnish defender Sini Karjalainen and forward Malia Schneider to 10-day contracts.
Karjalainen, 27, is a two-time Olympian with Finland including at this February in Milan. She won bronze with Finland in 2022 and also at the 2021 World Championships. Karjalainen spent the past three seasons in the SDHL, most recently with Skellefteå AIK scoring 13 points in 36 games. Karjalainen captained Vermont in the NCAA.
Schneider played two games this season with the Goldeneyes, and has another two games to her name from the inaugural 2024 season with Ottawa.
