The Vancouver Goldeneyes have signed fourth round pick Katie DeSa to a one-year contract continuing to secure their already deep crease.
The Vancouver Goldeneyes signed fourth round pick, 37th overall from the 2026 PWHL Draft, Katie DeSa, to a one-year PWHL contract.
The signing continues to solidify Vancouver's already deep crease behind Emerance Maschmeyer and Kristen Campbell, and brings their signed total up to 17 players.
The 22-year-old Pawcatuck, Connecticut product recently completed her NCAA career at Penn State leaving as the Nittany Lions' all-time leader in shutouts, with 25, winning percentage (.818), and career goals against average (1.43 GAA).
During her time with Penn State, DeSa won four Atlantic Hockey America conference titles and made four NCAA national championship appearances, including leading Penn State to their first ever Frozen Four appearance this year.
Last season she posted a 1.36 GAA, .936 save percentage, 12 shutouts, and a 27-4-0 record en route to winning her second AHA Goaltender of the Year award.
