The Montreal Force made their first formal announcement of the PHF offseason. The Force announced the signing of a pair of USports standouts in All-Canadian Audrey-Anne Veillette from the University of Montreal and Rosalie Bégin-Cyr of Concordia University.

Veillette, the RSEQ MVP this season, scored 26 goals and 35 points in 22 games for Montreal this season. She also represented Canada at the Universaide scoring seven points in seven games for Canada. Veillette, 22, also has a pair of medals from representing Canada's U-18 national team at the World Championships.

Rosalie Bégin-Cyr was a tournament all-star from the USports national championships, and led Concordia to a national title in 2021-2022.  Bégin-Cyr also represented Canada at the Universaide this season and notched 38 points in 28 regular season and playoff games this season.

“Free agency has been good for Montreal," said Kevin Raphaël, Montreal Force team president in a news release. "We are excited to go face to face with our first real off-season and that we're looking to upgrade everything from on the ice to off the ice. We have many surprises coming for our fans. Everyone is working hard to get better and raise the Force to a higher level. We can feel their passion and energy and know how much this means to all of our players, which is inspiring for the season ahead.”

Both players were signed to one-year contracts.

The Force also announced they've re-signed Jade Downie-Landry, the team's leading scorer from last season, and blueliner Brigitte Laganière. Both signed two-year contracts.
