The Ottawa Charge announced Tuesday that they have signed forward Maggy Burbidge to a reserve contract.
The move follows the team's signing of forward Olivia Wallin, who had been on the team’s reserve list, to a standard player agreement.
Burbidge, a native of Falmouth, Nova Scotia, spent last season with HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the SWHL, recording 34 points in 28 games. Before heading overseas, she played three seasons in USPORTS with St. Francis Xavier University, finishing with 99 points in 72 games. Prior to her USPORTS career, Burbidge spent two seasons at Robert Morris University, amassing 32 points in 60 games.
With the addition of Burbidge, Ottawa now has three players on its reserve list, alongside forward Reece Hunt and defender Vita Poniatovskaia.
The Charge return to action on February 28 following the Olympic break, when they host the Boston Fleet in the team’s Black History Celebration game.
