The Ottawa Charge forward, protected in Phase 3 of expansion, agrees to a three-year contract to remain in the nation's capital through the 2028-29 season.

Capping off a busy week for the franchise, the Ottawa Charge have announced a three-year contract for forward Sarah Wozniewicz, which keeps the Cochrane, AB native in the nation's capital through the 2028-29 season.

Wozniewicz, who was drafted in the third round of the 2025 PWHL Draft, finished fourth on the team in scoring with seven goals and 30 points through 30 regular-season games with the Charge. The forward quickly developed chemistry on the team's top line alongside Brianne Jenner and Rebecca Leslie.

Looking at how she compared to the other rookies this past season, Wozniewicz finished tied for second in goals and sixth in points. The "Wizard of Woz" would also finish tied for the league lead in game-winning goals with four alongside Leslie and Minnesota's Kelly Pannek.

The Charge now have 18 players under contract for the upcoming season:

Forward: Wozniewicz, Leslie, Gabbie Hughes, Fanuza Kadirova, Kateřina Mrázová, Michela Cava, Brooke McQuigge, Dara Greig and Jenna Buglioni

Defenders: Ronja Savolainen, Jocelyne Larocque, Kathryn Reilly, Emma Greco, Brooke Hobson and Vita Poniatovskaia

Goaltenders: Gwyneth Philips, Sanni Ahola and Kendra Woodland
