PWHL San Jose continues shaping its roster for the franchise's first season by signing Abbey Levy and Kristin Della Rovere to 1-year contracts.
PWHL San Jose has announced two players signed to standard player agreements today, bringing roster to 12 players.
Levy, a goaltender, joins San Jose after spending the previous season with Boston Fleet after two seasons with the New York Sirens. During the 2025-26 season, Levy appeared in three games, earning a 1-1-1 record with a .927 save percentage and 2.33 goals against average. Levy was selected 64th overall in the inaugural PWHL draft and has played in 13 PWHL games in her career. Internationally, Levy won a gold medal as a member of Team USA at the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship.
Della Rovere, a forward, returns to the PWHL after spending the previous season in Italy. In Milan, the 25-year-old set an Italian record with four points (2G, 2A) and helped the team advance to the quarterfinals — a historic result. Upon returning to Toronto, she appeared in five games. Originally selected by Ottawa in the inaugural PWHL Draft, Della Rovere scored one goal in nine games.
Della Rovere reunites with head coach Troy Ryan and forward Maggie Connors with this signing. Levy played alongside defenders Hadley Hartmetz and Daniela Pejšová last season in Boston and shared the crease with Corinne Schroeder for two seasons in New York.
With this move, San Jose now has 12 players under contract including forwards Anne Cherkowski, Maggie Connors, Natálie Mlýnková, Kristin O’Neill, Maddi Wheeler, defenders Rory Guilday, Hadley Hartmetz, Mariah Keopple, Daniela Pejšová, as well as goaltender Corrine Schroeder.
