According to a report, the first game in PWHL history will take place January 1 between Toronto and New York.
According to a report by Sports Business Journal writer Alex Silverman, the PWHL will host their first ever game early on New Year's Day 2024.
Silverman reports the PWHL will host their first ever game at 12:30pm on Monday, January 1, 2024 with PWHL Toronto hosting PWHL New York at Mattamy Athletic Centre.
The report comes on the heels of the PWHL announcing their participation in a player showcase game as part of the NHL All-Star Thursday events.
The 3-on-3 Showcase will take place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto following the NHL All-Star Draft.
The PWHL has yet to announce venues for their inaugural season, which is set to begin in just over a month. The league is rumored to be set to release their full schedule in the coming days.
