Toronto secures its crease, inking breakout star Raygan Kirk to a multi-year deal after a strong season featuring elite save percentages.

The Toronto Sceptres have locked up an important piece of their future by signing goaltender Raygan Kirk to a three-year contract, adding her to their protected players ahead of the expansion process.

Kirk emerged as one of the PWHL's top goaltenders during the 2025-26 season, solidifying herself as Toronto's starter in just her second year in the league. The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native held opponents to two goals or fewer in 15 of her 22 starts and tied for the league lead with a record 17 games featuring 25 or more saves. Her 1.87 goals-against average and .934 save percentage both ranked third among all PWHL netminders.

The 24-year-old also recorded the first three shutouts of her PWHL career, including back-to-back clean sheets on March 15 and 17. As a rookie in 2024-25, Kirk posted five wins in eight starts while serving primarily in a backup role.

With goaltending a priority as the PWHL grows to 12 teams, this signing demonstrates that the Sceptres believe they have their #1 goalie for the future.

Before turning professional, Kirk began her NCAA career at Robert Morris University, earning CHA All-Rookie Team honors and recording 23 victories across two seasons. She later transferred to Ohio State University, where she backstopped the Buckeyes to an NCAA national championship in her fifth season. Kirk was named team MVP and set a program record with 22 wins while helping Ohio State capture its second national title.

Earlier Wednesday, Toronto announced the re-signing of defender Renata Fast to a three-year contract, bringing the club's total of protected players under contract for 2026-27 to two.
