With the PWHL season continuing to near, fans out west are anxiously awaiting a schedule, jerseys, name, and logo for new teams in Seattle and Vancouver. With roughly two months remaining until teams are officially on the ice together, some fans believe they may have found a first glimpse of what PWHL Seattle and PWHL Vancouver's new jerseys may look like from an unlikely source.
That source was EA Sports' NHL 26 where Seattle and Vancouver's roster donned jerseys with the generic logos the PWHL unveiled at the expansion announcements.
There has been speculation within the league that Seattle's uniforms could closely resemble New York's teal uniforms, and the light and bright jerseys were on display in NHL 26 with Hilary Knight donning the captain's "C", another item of speculation that many assume will come to fruition.
The same potential sneak peek occurred for PWHL Vancouver fans. The PWHL has not stated explicitly if PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle will begin their inaugural season with generic jerseys and team names, or if both teams will have branding, logos, and nicknames in place in time for the season.
Earlier this week fans also got a look at the new jersey numbers for many players who changed teams this offseason when the PWHL announced they'd be selling customized jerseys for every player signed to a PWHL contract this season.
With that news fans saw new jersey numbers for recently drafted and newly signed players. For example in Toronto it became clear that the Sceptres' first selection in the 2025 PWHL Draft Emma Gentry would be taking over #20 from the now-departed Sarah Nurse who will suit up in Vancouver.
EA Sports may have also unveiled new jersey numbers for players out west as well. For example, in video of online gameplay is showed Nurse wearing #92.
The PWHL will unveil the official PWHL Seattle and PWHL Vancouver jerseys in the coming weeks.
EA Sports' NHL 26 officially launches September 12, 2025.
