The Toronto Sceptres avoided a bullet on their back end re-signing top four defender Kali Flanagan.
Flanagan was one of Toronto's ice time leaders in the playoffs and regular season logging big minutes alongside Allie Munroe for what was likely Toronto's most consistent pairing all season.
The former Olympic and World Championship gold medalist with Team USA had seven points in 30 games for Toronto last season while averaging 21:18 minutes per night.
Toronto also was able to retain Renata Fast and Savannah Harmon giving the Sceptres one of the strongest top fours in the PWHL.
Hannah Miller was the other Toronto player reportedly to sign on the opening day of PWHL free agency inking with PWHL Vancouver.
More to come.
