The Vancouver Goldeneyes scored five goals for only the second time this season finding their missing offense, while the New York Sirens continued their post-Olympic collapse as the two teams head in opposite directions.

The Vancouver Goldeneyes tied their largest goal output of the season scoring five against the New York Sirens in a 5-2 win at Pacific Coliseum.

Three players acquired by trade this season in Anna Shokhina, Anna Segedi, and Mannon McMahon all scored their first goals in Goldeneyes' uniforms this season.

It was another slow start for the New York Sirens who have watched an inability to start on time turn into a habit that has the Sirens, once in the middle of the playoff race, sliding rapidly toward the outside looking in.

New York has now lost four of five following the Olympics.

In Wednesday night's game, Vancouver scored twice in the first 6:48 of the game. After Sarah Fillier got one back for New York, Vancouver's Sophie Jaques added another to give the Goldeneyes a 3-1 lead after one period.

In the second, Anna Bargman again pulled New York within one, but Tereza Vanisova and Mannon McMahon gave the Goldeneyes much needed insurance in the third.

"We're doing the right things; our details are right. We're playing the right way," said Vancouver head coach Brian Idalski. "We're creating opportunities, and said [offence] would come in bunches and that's how it’s played out. That's the way the game goes; it's how you continue to do the right things if you're not getting the outcome, when things aren't going your way. That's a credit to our club, being resilient the last few games. They didn't get down and stuck to it.”

It was a promising development for the Goldeneyes to see many of the snakebitten members of their roster get on the board.

“It was great to see Anna [Segedi], Shoksy (Anna Shokhina), that line was huge for us off the start, getting us on the board. They make an impact every time they're on the ice, along with Mannon's line as well. We're starting to see chemistry amongst all four lines, and we have a lot of depth. We knew that coming into this season, and now we're starting to execute and produce more offence, which is great heading forward and something that we're excited about."
