The Salem, NH, native was selected first overall by the Goldeneyes following a four-year career at the University of Wisconsin
The Vancouver Goldeneyes have agreed to a long-term deal with their franchise defender, inking Caroline Harvey to a three-year contract.
"KK is an incredibly accomplished defender whose achievements speak for themselves, and we are excited for her to bring her trademark speed and dynamic playing style to our roster," said Alison Izzi, Vancouver Goldeneyes General Manager, via team release. "We are looking forward to supporting her continued development as an elite player and can't wait to see her start her PWHL career in Goldeneyes colours."
Harvey joins the PWHL with much fanfare following an awards-filled career at the University of Wisconsin. Over those four years with the Badgers, Harvey recorded 201 points in 147 games, helping the program win three national titles. Following the 2025-26 season and another National Championship, Harvey was named the winner of the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, WCHA Player of the Year and Defender of the Year and was a First Team All-American.
"I am super excited to sign with Vancouver for the next three years,” said Harvey. “When I first visited the city after I was drafted, I could feel the excitement for the team and how much they love hockey. I can’t wait to get to work with my teammates, and to play in front of the Goldeneyes fans!”
Awards continued to follow Harvey on the international stage with the United States, including five World Championship medals, multiple Best Defender awards, Tournament All-Star and MVP honours, an Olympic silver medal in Beijing in 2022 and gold in 2026. On June 17, Harvey was also named the IIHF Female Player of the Year, receiving 77.3 per cent per cent of the votes, the largest by any player in the trophy’s young history.
With Harvey's signing, the Goldeneyes now have a blue line of Ashton Bell, Sophie Jaques, and Dominika Lásková. The team has also signed forwards Abby Boreen, Katie Chan, Izzy Daniel, Laura Fuoco, Jenn Gardiner, Mannon McMahon, Hannah Miller, Sarah Nurse, Gabby Rosenthal, Madison Samoskevich, Anna Segedi and Tereza Vanišová, plus goaltenders Kristen Campbell, Emerance Maschmeyer, and fellow 2026 draftee Katie DeSa.
