
Switzerland's PostFinance Women's League opened their 2025-26 schedule this weekend with EV Zug and HC Ambri-Piotti opening the year with a pair of wins each.
Both teams beat Neuchâtel Hockey Academy beginning with Zug topping Neuchâtel 7-1, and Ambri-Piotti earning a 4-2 win the following day.
EV Zug also defeated HC Fribourg-Gottéron 5-2. Rahel Enzler got off to a strong start offensively for Zug scoring three goals and six points in two games, one of seven members of EV Zug to have a multi-point weekend.
Ambri-Piotti's second win of the weekend was a 3-1 decision over SC Langenthal. Lena-Marie Lutz had four points in two games for Ambri-Piotti.
SC Bern is the only other team in the PostFinance Women's League yet to drop a game with Saskia Maurer earning the shutout, and reigning league MVP Estelle Duvin scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over the ZSC Lions, SC Bern's lone game of the weekend.
