The Providence Bruins suffered a tough 4-2 loss to the Bridgeport Islanders on Feb. 16. While Providence lost, Boston Bruins prospect John Farinacci did his part to try to keep them in the game.
At the 13:20 mark of the first period, Farinacci tied the game at 1-1 with his seventh goal of the season. With this, he successfully built on his excellent hot streak.
Farinacci has been playing some genuinely spectacular hockey with Providence lately. He is now on a five-game point streak, with one goal and six points over that span. He has also been incredibly consistent for quite some time, posting 19 points over his last 19 games for Providence.
While Farinacci had a bit of a slow start to the season, he has undoubtedly broken the ice with his dominant stretch of play. If he continues to produce offense so consistently for Providence, one has to wonder if his first regular-season call-up to Boston's roster could be on the way. He should be rewarded for his strong play at some point, right?
