    33-year-old has already played two games for the Avalanche this season

    The Colorado Avalanche announced they have recalled forward Chris Wagner from their AHL affiliate Colorado Eagles. 

    Wagner is pointless in two NHL games and one AHL games this season. He recorded 14 points in 21 games with the Eagles and two points in 13 games with the Avalanche last season.

    The injury troubles continue for the Avalanche as they also placed forward Jonathan Drouin on Injured Reserve. 

    The 33-year old has 178 points in 385 career AHL games and 65 in 375 career NHL games. 

    Wagner was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2010 draft by the Anaheim Ducks. He re-signed a one-year deal with the Avalanche this summer.
