Milton, ON, native is entering his 16th season with the Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes announced that Darren Yorke has been named Associate General Manager and General Manager of the team's AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

The Hurricanes stated that Yorke will remain involved with personnel decisions, and that he will oversee amateur scouting, player development, and drafting on top of his duties with the Wolves.

After graduating from Brock University in 2008 Yorke joined the Buffalo Sabres for two seasons as assistant video coach.

The Milton, ON, native then joined the Hurricanes as a video scout prior to the 2010-11 season.

In his 15 seasons with Carolina Yorke has served as manager of scouting, director of player personnel, and assistant general manager.

Chicago were AHL affiliates of the Hurricanes from 2020-23 before spending 2023-24 as independents. They then signed a new three-year affiliation agreement beginning next season.

The Wolves have won the Calder Cup three times in franchise history, most recently in 2022.
