New York Rangers announced they have recalled forward Brett Berard and sent defensemen Victor Mancini and Chad Ruhwedel to their AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack.
Berard has recorded seven goals and 13 points in 16 games for Hartford this season, leading the team in both categories.
A fifth-round pick of the Rangers in 2020, Berard had a solid first professional season in 2023-24, notching 25 goals and 28 points in 71 games to go along with six points in 10 Calder Cup Playoff games. With 32 goals in 90 career AHL games Berard has shown an ability to put the puck in the net.
The 22-year-old seems poised to make his NHL debut against the St. Louis Blues on Nov. 25 and should provide some depth offense and bite to the Rangers forward group.
Mancini was recalled on Nov. 22 and played 15:57 in New York's 6-2 loss to Edmonton.
He has four points in 10 games with the Rangers and one goal in three games with Hartford.
Ruhwedel has played one game for the Rangers and has two assists in seven games for the Wolf Pack.
