Senator assign two defenseman and goaltender to AHL, also release Nikolay Kulemin from PTO

The Ottawa Senators have made further roster cuts, sending three players to their AHL affiliate Belleville Senators.
Defensemen Filip Roos and Donovan Sebrango as well as goaltender Leevi Meriläinen were assigned to Belleville training camp, forward Nikolay Kulemin was released from his PTO.
Meriläinen split time between the ECHL's Allen Americans and Belleville Sens last season, recording a 10-9-1 record and .906 SV% in 24 AHL appearances. He will likely be the primary backup to Mads Sogaard. Michael Simpson and Cole Ceci will also fight for playing time.
Roos recorded 16 points in 59 games with the Rockford IceHogs and played four games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season. He also played in 17 games for the Blackhawks in 2022-23. He will likely slot in as a top-four defender for Belleville and can play NHL games in a pinch.
Sebrango notched seven points in 35 games for Belleville last season. He brings toughness and shutdown ability to the team, he should be a regular on the back-end.
There has been no additional information on Kulemin's next move.
Belleville open their season Oct. 11 against the Rochester Americans.
