The Toronto Maple Leafs announced they have sent goaltender Dennis Hildeby to the Toronto Marlies and recalled goaltender Matt Murray.

Hildeby gave up four goals on 18 shots against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday night, bringing his season record to 3-3 with a .878 SP and 3.33 GAA.

Murray has been on fire in the AHL, posting back-to-back shutouts against the Manitoba Moose last weekend and allowing just one goal on 19 shots in a 3-1 win against the Bakersfield Condors last night.

The 30-year-old's season totals with the Marlies now sit at an 8-4-2 record, 1.68 GAA and .934 SP with three shutouts.

The Thunder Bay, Ont., native made a successful return after major hip surgery earlier this season. He has a 1-1 record with the Maple Leafs this season.

This move should also be beneficial for Hildeby as he will have the opportunity to start more games, the 23-year-old has only appeared in 14 games this season between the Leafs and Marlies.

Anthony Stolarz was on the ice prior to Maple Leafs practice earlier this week, he has been out since .
