Team Canada and Team USA are co-favorites to win the 4 Nations Face-Off

LAS VEGAS -- The 4 Nations Face-Off is still two months away, but that hasn't kept sportsbooks from putting up future odds to win the inaugural event.

The Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas has Team Canada and Team USA listed as co-favorites, both at +160.

Team Sweden is +450 and Team Finland is +800.

The odds at DraftKings are slightly different, but with the same favorites, as both Canada and USA are +175. Sweden has shorter odds as the third choice, at +370, while Finland is +650.

Westgate vice president of risk management Jeff Sherman said when the games begin in February, his property will offer lines similar to NHL games.

Sides, first-period totals and game totals are what Sherman anticipates the Westgate to offer.

"I'm sure the larger books with third parties will have player props, things like that," he said. "We might do some player props on that because there's going to be so many standout players and a concentration of games. So I would believe that we'll offer some player props, especially the ones in our market, involving Knights, Jack Eichel, props for their games, for the U.S., things like that."

Sherman said only one ticket has been placed thus far, on Team Canada.

"With that thing not taking place until February, it'll be here and there," he added. "Maybe people from out of town, stuff like that. Most of that action will come in when they take their break and people are saying, 'Okay, there's no daily NHL to bet, let me concentrate on being involved in this.'"

DraftKings already has posted lines for three games.

Canada is -230 against Sweden on Feb. 12, USA is -238 against Finland on Feb. 13, and Canada is -125 against USA on Feb. 15.

DraftKings lists Team USA's Auston Matthews (+800)as the favorite to score the most goals in the tournament, followed by Brayden Point, Sam Reinhart and Connor McDavid - all listed at +1000 and all starring for Team Canada. McDavid (+800) is listed the favorite for the top-point scorer.
