Can the Rangers complete the sweep in NHL 24?
With the Carolina Hurricanes on the brink of elimination we booted up NHL 24 and simulated Game 4 of their series to see if the New York Rangers could close it out.
Our series simulation predicted Carolina winning in seven games, while our Game 3 simulation predicted a 2-1 Hurricanes win.
The Hurricanes were able to extend the series in this NHL 24 simulation, scoring with 15 seconds to go in regulation and then winning the game 2-1 in double overtime.
We added Filip Chytil back to the Rangers lineup in place of Matt Rempe. A starter for Carolina had not been named at the time of writing so we started Frederik Andersen.

Both goalies played well, Andersen making 27 saves, Shesterkin making 24.
Vincent Trocheck scored for the Rangers while Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored the goal to send the game to overtime. Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the overtime winner.
