Can Edmonton close out the series in NHL 24?

The sixth entry into our NHL 24 playoff simulation series, today is Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars.

Our series simulation predicted a Dallas sweep while our Game 5 prediction incorrectly predicted a Stars win.

Dallas has been dominating these series simulations, and this continued in Game 6 as the Stars were able to take the game 2-1.

In a game that featured little offense, Stars defenseman Ryan Suter opened the scoring on a partial breakaway. Matt Duchene scored the eventual winner on a deflection.

Leon Draisaitl scored late for Edmonton on a crazy bounce from a Mattias Ekholm point shot.

Neither goalie was particularly busy, Jake Oettinger stopped 16 of 17 shots, Stuart Skinner stopped 12 of 14.

The Oilers were throwing the body in this simulation, putting up 24 hits, including a big hit from Connor McDavid on Roope Hintz.

Dallas fans hope this simulation accurately predicts the future and the Stars force a Game 7.
