With Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight we simulated the game in NHL 24 to see if the Oilers could send the series back to Edmonton or if the Florida Panthers will lift the cup.
Our series simulation predicted Florida winning the Stanley Cup in seven games. Our Game 4 prediction accurately predicted an Edmonton blow out.
We kept the Oilers lines the same as Game 4, and added Ryan Lomberg on the Panthers fourth line for Steven Lorentz.
The Panthers were able to overcome a 3-1 deficit and win the game 4-3 in overtime, winning the franchises first Stanley Cup.
