Simulating Vegas vs. Dallas Game 5 in NHL 24
Will we finally see a win for the home team in this series tonight? Or will the Road Warriors continue to be the storyline?
The Dallas Stars are 1-4 on home ice against the Vegas Golden Knights dating back to last year's Western Conference Finals. They were shut out in Games 3 and 6 and have been outscored 19-7. It’s safe to say Vegas has Dallas' number at the American Airlines Center in the playoffs.
Radek Faksa and Mason Marchment remain as game-time decisions. Both players have missed the last two games for the Stars. For that reason, the lines we implemented for Dallas are the ones they used in game four.
Robertson - Hintz - Johnston
Benn - Duchene - Stankoven
Dadonov - Seguin - Pavelski
Dellandrea - Steel - Smith
Harley - Heiskanen
Lindell - Tanev
Suter - Lundkvist
Oettinger
Wedgewood
Head Coach Bruce Cassidy will be shaking up his lineup for Game 5, including a new starting goaltender.
Hertl - Eichel - Marchessault
Dorofeyev - Stephenson - Stone
Howden - Karlsson - Amadio
Carrier - Roy - Barbashev
Martinez - Pietrangelo
McNabb - Theodore
Hanifin - Hutton
Hill
Thompson
I hope that for Stars fans who are attending the game tonight don't have this outcome happen in real life. NHL 24 predicts a complete onslaught by the reigning Stanley Cup Champions with a 10-2(!!) victory.
Jake Oettinger was pulled after allowing five goals on 13 shots in the first period. Scott Wedgewood also had to experience the wrath of the Golden Knights, allowing five goals on 20 shots.
William Karlsson led the way with two goals and four points. Jack Eichel also scored twice. And only McNabb, Carrier, Roy, and Hutton were held without a point on Vegas.
