Simulating Winnipeg vs. Colorado game three in NHL 24. Another high-scoring game?

Simulating Winnipeg vs. Colorado game three in NHL 24. Another high-scoring game?

This Winnipeg vs. Colorado series has been nothing short of high-octane hockey and entertainment.

The storylines center around the men who occupy the blue paint. Alexander Georgiev had a disastrous game one. And Connor Hellebuyck wasn't much better. However, Georgiev dialed in for game two, helping the Avs escape the Winnipeg Whiteout with a 1-1 split, while Hellebuyck once again didn't look like his normal self.

Did NHL 24 predict game three to be another high-scoring game where fans for both teams will have to cover their eyes every time a shot heads toward the net?

If I were a betting man, I would take the over 6.5 goal total for this game tonight. Our simulation predicts the goals to continue to come and a 4-3 Jets victory.

Based on line rushes from yesterday. Logan Stanley could be coming out of the lineup for Nate Schmidt. Morgan Barron is still out and Rick Bowness prefers to go with David Gustafsson on the fourth line instead of the skilled Cole Perfetti.

Winnipeg's Projected Lines:

Connor - Scheifele - Vilardi
Ehlers - Monahan - Toffoli
Niederreiter - Lowry - Appleton
Gustafsson - Namestnikov - Iafallo

Morrissey - DeMelo
Dillon - Pionk
Samberg - Schmidt

Hellebuyck
Brossoit

The home team Avalanche appear to be going with the same lineup they had in game two.

Colorado's Projected Lines:

Nichushkin - MacKinnon - Rantanen
Lehkonen - Mittelstadt - Parise
Wood - Colton - Kiviranta
Cogliano - Trenin - Duhaime

Toews - Makar
Walker - Manson
Johnson - Jones

Georgiev
