Team Builders have been around since the start of NHL 24. If you are new to HUT, acquiring these new 96 overall cards will take a lot of time and cost you a lot of coins. It's probably not worth doing unless you have a few of the previous Team Builder cards in Jason Arnott, Rick Nash, Larry Robinson, or Sami Salo.
Now, if you really want to get one of these new top-echelon cards, you'll have to follow this path to get it. In order to get the 87 overall Team Builders, you need to trade in six 84 overall Team Builders.
You get those 84 overall cards by trading in 15 74+ Gold and 10 80+ players from a specific NHL team. Then, once you have two 87 overall Team Builders, you can trade them in to upgrade to a 90 overall Team Builder.
After that, two 90 overall Team Builders can be traded in for a 93 overall Team Builder. Hopefully you're still following along, but the path is fairly simple.
Now that you have reached the final stage, you can no obtain your 96 overall Team Builder players. Two of those 93 overall Team Builders will be used to trade in for one of the new 96 overall Team Builder cards, Mats Sundin, Dany Heatley, Shea Weber, or Chris Pronger.
