

The Swiss Ice Hockey Association presented several awards on Wednesday for the 2023-24 hockey season at the Attisholz-Areal in Riedholz, although several of the players were absent as they are already beginning to prepare for the upcoming season.
Most of the award winners were from Switzerland’s top-tier pro league, the National League, although there were also awards for the MVPs of the second-tier Swiss League, the third-tier MyHockey League and the Women’s League, as well as a few other awards. The Team of the Year was the men’s national team, which won the silver medal at the 2024 IIHF World Championship.
National League awards:
Regular season MVP: Calvin Thürkauf (HC Lugano)
Playoff MVP: Denis Malgin (ZSC Lions)
Jacques Plante Trophy – top goaltender: Šimon Hrubec (ZSC Lions)
Youngster of the year: Vinzenz Rohrer (ZSC Lions)
Other awards:
Swiss League (second tier) MVP: Toms Andersons (La Chaux-de-Fonds)
MyHockey League (third tier) MVP: Arnaud Schnegg (Franches-Montagnes)
Women’s League MVP: Estelle Duvin (SC Bern)
Woman of the Year: Alina Müller (PWHL Boston)
Most Popular Player: Andres Ambühl (HC Davos)
Special Award: Beat Forster (EHC Biel-Bienne)
Team of the Year: Men’s National Team
