On the other side of this matchup, the Jets continue to struggle. They've now lost nine games in a row and have been outscored 37-16 in that span, sitting seventh in the Central Division with a 4-8-3 record.

Canadiens Stay Hot, Crosby Climbs All-Time Scoring List

The Montreal Canadiens took down the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-4 on Saturday for their fifth consecutive win. Rookie goaltender Jacob Fowler recorded his seventh straight win and was named as the NHL's Rookie of the Month on Sunday.

Despite this loss, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby made history by recording three points and tying Marcel Dionne for sixth on the NHL's all-time scoring list. He's 27 points back of Ron Francis for fifth and 79 points back of Gordie Howe for fourth, who he could both potentially pass this season.

Oilers Roll Through New York

The Edmonton Oilers took down both New York teams over the weekend, shutting out the Islanders in a 4-0 win on Saturday before beating the Rangers 4-1 on Sunday. The Oilers have now won three in a row, lead the Pacific and rank second in the league by points percentage behind only the Hurricanes.
