One week before he was scheduled for arbitration, Trevor Zegras signed a four-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers, which now have just three RFAs left.

The Philadelphia Flyers re-signed RFA Trevor Zegras to a four-year contract on Wednesday.

The deal is worth $9.125 million annually and keeps Zegras signed through 2029-30.

One week after the Anaheim Ducks matched the Flyers' offer sheet for Zegras' former teammate, center Leo Carlsson, Philadelphia has taken care of one of its current RFAs who was scheduled for arbitration.

Zegras avoided arbitration on July 22, according to PuckPedia.

"We're thrilled to have Trevor committed to our organization for the next four years," Flyers GM Daniel Briere said in a statement. "The growth he showed this past season, proving that he is the skilled player he entered the league as, reinforced our belief that he will be an impact player for the Flyers for the years to come. He's the type of player who can help take our team to the next level, and we're excited to continue building alongside him."

The 25-year-old had a bounce-back campaign with the Flyers after they acquired him from the Ducks in June 2025. Zegras had a career-high 26 goals and 41 assists for a career-best 67 points in 81 games, up from 32 points in 57 games the season prior.

In 349 career NHL games, Zegras has 93 goals and 160 assists for 253 points. He added two goals and six points in his first 10 career playoff games this past spring with Philadelphia.

While Zegras played much of last season as a left winger on a line with Christian Dvorak and Travis Konecny, he has plenty of experience as a center.

Flyers coach Rick Tocchet could try to stick with that line this upcoming season, or he could move Zegras back to center in the hope he is the No. 1 pivot the team tried to acquire when it tendered an offer sheet to Carlsson for $18 million annually for five years on July 2.

With Zegras signed, Philadelphia still has about $20.44 million in cap space and three RFAs remaining.

Defenseman Jamie Drysdale, 24, is scheduled for arbitration on Monday, July 20. He had 32 points in 78 games this past season.

Right winger Nikita Grebenkin, 23, had four goals and 14 points in 55 games in 2025-26. He's not eligible for arbitration or an offer sheet.

Defenseman Hunter McDonald, 24, spent most of this past campaign with the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He had six assists in 65 games.
