Celine Dion was born in Charlemagne, Que., which is about an hour's drive to Montreal. As such, she is a Montreal Canadiens fan.

Or rather, she used to be one.

While Dion was in the dressing room taking a picture with Patrick Roy the night that the Habs won a Stanley Cup in 1993, her allegiances appear to have changed in the years since. And they have taken a turn for the worse.

On Thursday, Dion was in Boston and was invited by the Canadiens' most-hated rivals to visit the Bruins' dressing room and read the opening line-up for that night's game against the New York Rangers. And while she did it with her usual flair — hitting the "heigh" notes on Danton Heinen, it had the same effect as nails on the chalkboard for fans of the bleu, blanc et rouge.

Give her credit. Some of the line-up reads were inventive, such as "Pav! You make me hungry, Pasta!" in reference to David Pastrnak. But as some on Twitter suggested, "This would be like Justin Bieber attending a Habs game."

"Suprised she can get away with this being a Quebecois," wrote another. "We okay with this?"

Dion apparently is ok with it. During the game, she was shown playing air-bass to a Bon Jovi song and dancing while her son sat beside her in a Brad Marchand jersey and Bruins cap. Which is great to see, considering her public battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder she was diagnosed with in 2022.

And Habs fans shouldn't be too upset. After all, the Bruins ended up losing the game 5-2.

    The Starting Five

    1) What Next Steps Look Like For Tom Wilson, Capitals With Lengthy Suspension Likely: The Capitals forward has been offered an in-person hearing for high-sticking Noah Gregor, which means his suspension could be longer than five games.

    2) 'You Almost Got To Kick That Guy Off The Ice': Canucks Head Coach Compares Vasily Podkolzin To Jaromir Jagr: Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet told reporters that Vasily Podkolzin's work ethic is comparable to NHL legend Jaromir Jagr's.

    3) 'Connor Might Be a Little Bit Quicker': Corey Perry Compares Connor McDavid to One of His Former Teammates: Corey Perry had a playful moment in this morning's media availability ahead of tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres.

    4) Nick Cousins, Jason Zucker finally drop the gloves after January boarding incident: Cousins missed a month and Zucker was suspended after the brutal hit during Florida's visit to Arizona on Jan. 2

    5) Brandon Dubinsky Calls Out Flyers' John Tortorella: Retired NHLer Brandon Dubinsky called out Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella for scratching Sean Couturier.
