    Whether they're stopping goals or scoring them, the Sabres have had some incredible talent over the years, just not lately, says Ken Campbell.

    The Buffalo Sabres have not made the playoffs in 13 seasons and in that time, they seem to have created more drama than a daytime soap opera. Not much has gone right there for a long time, but it wasn't always that way.

    While the Sabres have never won a Stanley Cup and won't challenge for one for who knows how much longer, there was a time when they did almost everything but win a Cup.

    Buffalo's Mount Rushmore starts with the best goalie to ever play the game. And don't @ me. Their first-ever draft pick set scoring marks that might never be broken. One of their guys gave us one of the most memorable seasons ever and, since we have to have at least one player who is currently there, we have a defenseman who is beginning to round out into an elite blueline force.
