Will the team finally trade Gibson?

The biggest news of the day is that long-time goalie John Gibson has asked out from the Anaheim Ducks. It had been rumored for a while now that Gibson may be moved as the team went closer to a rebuild, but now it could finally happen. Anaheim has some really big decisions to make here, and potentially moving Gibson has to be at the forefront. General Manager Pat Verbeek may end up moving Gibson and would likely get a nice haul in return. This could be the summer that it happens, and the Ducks would then be on the lookout for a new goaltender.

In other news for the Ducks, the new free-agent signings were vital for the future of the team. Leo Carlsson is already making an impact, and Anaheim is looking to compete next season after being aggressive to open free agency.
