New updates from the development camp!
The status of where first-round pick Leo Carlsson will be playing next season remains up in the air. Carlsson will be present when the Anaheim Ducks show up for training camp this fall, but he is no guarantee to be on the roster next season. He will either enter the season as part of the Anaheim roster, the AHL-affiliate San Diego Gulls, or play more games in Sweden. No decisions have been made as they likely want to see what he can do before choosing. Either way, the team has options with their first-round pick, and that is a great thing.
In other Ducks-related news, the team signed a few new assistant coaches. The team's first-round pick from 2022, Pavel Mintyukov, made waves at the team's development camp and the Ducks can use their remaining cap space to their advantage as flexible roster construction.
