With the Bruins needing forward help, the Original Six club have some old friends worth considering.

At American Thanksgiving, the Boston Bruins have an 11-10-3 record and are third in the Atlantic Division. Overall, while the Bruins currently hold a playoff spot, there is no question that they should be looking to upgrade their roster. This is especially the case when it comes to their forward group.

When looking at trade candidates around the NHL, the Bruins have two former players who could be worth some consideration. Let's discuss both players now.

    Taylor Hall, Chicago Blackhawks

Taylor Hall is in the final season of his contract on a rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks club, so he has been creating plenty of chatter as a trade candidate. Things escalated on that front when Hall was also scratched earlier this month.

Hall has had a tough start to the season with the Blackhawks, posting nine points in 21 games. However, given the 33-year-old winger's outstanding resume, he undoubtedly has the potential to bounce back. He is also showing signs of doing just that, as he had a hat trick in his last game against the Dallas Stars.

If Hall continues to stay hot and regains his form, he could be a big-time addition to the Bruins' middle six.

    Frank Vatrano, Anaheim Ducks

Frank Vatrano is another pending unrestricted free agent who could be on the move before the deadline passes. With the Anaheim Ducks rebuilding, Vatrano could be a decent trade chip for them. The Bruins should consider reuniting with him if he is officially made available.

In 20 games this season, Vatrano has four goals and nine points. However, when playing at his best, Vatrano can be a very impactful scorer who also provides plenty of physicality. For example, just last season, he set career highs with 37 goals, 23 assists, 60 points, and 156 hits.

Overall, with the Bruins needing a boost, Vatrano could be a solid player for the Bruins to take a shot on.
