This Boston Bruins prospect has been named among the best.
The Hockey News' main site recently revealed players 60-41 from their top 100 NHL-affiliated prospects rankings, and a Boston Bruins prospect made the cut: Dean Letourneau.
Letourneau was given the No. 45 ranking by THN. This comes after the Bruins' 2024 first-round pick had a fantastic season with Boston College.
After recording zero goals and three assists in 36 games as a freshman in 2024-25, Letourneau responded in a major way this campaign. In 36 games with BC in 2025-26, the 6-foot-7 forward recorded 22 goals, 17 assists, 39 points, and a plus-9 rating. With numbers like these, he undoubtedly took a massive step forward in his development this season with BC.
Letourneau certainly showed off his offensive potential this season with BC, and he is a prospect who Bruins fans should be excited about because of it. The big forward has the potential to become an impactful player at the NHL level, as he has a nice mix of skill and physicality.
Letourneau is expected to return to BC for his junior year rather than make the jump to the professional level. This will allow the 20-year-old to continue to work on his game, and it will be fascinating to see if he can take another major step forward next season.
