    According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Boston Bruins have signed forward Morgan Geekie to a six-year contract extension. Starting next season, Geekie will have a $5.5 million average annual value. 

    Geekie, 26, was the Bruins' most notable pending restricted free agent (RFA), so it is undoubtedly major news that they have gotten this extension done with him. Now, he will be a long-term part of the Bruins' plans as they continue their retool. 

    Geekie appeared in 77 games this season with the Bruins, where he set new career highs with 33 goals, 24 assists, and 57 points. The 6-foot-3 forward notably formed great chemistry with David Pastrnak on the first line as the season rolled on.

    In 153 games over two seasons with the Bruins, Geekie has recorded 50 goals, 46 assists, and 96 points.
